Be strong and of a good courage,
fear not, nor be afraid of them:
for the LORD thy God,
He it is that doth go with thee;
He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

                Hope & Trust...in WHO?
                  ...in GOD!!

I would like everyone to know that God took care of me according to His Will { still is...} during my medical ordeal. I was unsure if God would really be here for me & frightened of giving it all up to God to handle His way...Though I did, at least, have Hope in God!
Amazingly & to my surprise, God turned my HOPE into TRUST by showing me His involvement & His actions in My Life!
I thank God, My Father & Jesus Christ, My Savior & The Holy Spirit, My Comforter, & praise Them...in All Their Glory!
I am also grateful for YOUR intercessory prayers to God, MCC, on my behalf!! May God Bless YOU!

My hope is in the name of the Lord...
He is where my help comes from...
You are my strength...You are my song!

        To Forgive & Love Others...
            Because of Christ!

Growing up in the 50's & 60's, I was niave about life and because of that, I was taken advantage of. My trust in people turned into hurt.

Early in my lifetime, I was pulled into a truck and almost abducted. I also saw other things that could 'get me killed,' as a family member said, if I told what I had seen. In addition, a friend of the family grabbed me and put his hands on me, as I was on my way to the store.

Later on in my life, I developed back problems and had to have numerous back surgeries, as well as neck surgery.

I could have let all of these things make me bitter  (ugly towards men) and scare me for life. It wasn't until I turned my life over to the Lord with all My heart and soul, that to this day, I can truly say I love everyone. I didn't say it is an easy journey, but as I pray and study my Bible, I get stronger each day. I carry Phillippians 4:13 with me every day.

Don't let hurt keep you away from doing what is right and just in your heart. Do not let it capture your joy.

"I can do all things through Christ
            which strengtheneth me."
                Phillippians 4: 13

                   Growing...
            In Christ Our Lord!

While attending school in Rutherford County, working a third shift job & trying to raise a family, the pressures of life closed in on me. My whole life began to spiral downward w/o spiritual support  & w/o real & truthful people in my life that was not fearful of confronting me with love about different areas of my character that needed to be addressed. I did, as many people do, hide & deny the effects it was having on me. The more I tried, the more difficult life became. I was in a bad situation & didn't know how to handle my situation in a good way.

During this period I became unbearable, very short tempered, & offensive w/my family. I was very critical of others, had confrontations w/friends & w/co-workers. I lost my job, my family, & my friends. I was angry with myself for being this way.

I saw avenues (drugs/alcohol) ahead that could replace what I felt & what I lost. But thru the help of my family, friends, & a true man of God I was able to find help in my life. A local attorney referred me to this man of God at Murfreesboro Community Church, who accepted me as I was w/o judging me.

I have learned that the pastor & ministers at MCC are led by God to restore & deeply challenge many to change their life for the better. The compassion this pastor & church has for this city is so amazing that God has led me to become a part of this ministry & suppport the dream/vision God has placed in our pastor's heart. He does care & is truly dedicated to the ministry of those in our city that many have forgotten about or care not to mention their names.
